New Hard Drive Format coming
I hear that there will be a new hard drive format coming soon.
A format that Windows XP and it's predecessors will not work on.
Are we all being forced to Windows7 - there is an alternative I think.
Finding Ancestry.com.au frustrating.
I am no longer a subscriber to Ancestry.com.au yet I get messages from users which I can not respond to.
On a few occassions now I have been receiving emails from people about possible mutual family links and when I try to reply at Ancestry.com.au I am asked to subscribe and I can find no way to answer these people. More than a little bit frustrating.
The answer you may say is to subscribe.

Queensland Government BDM Index - Be wary of the wide variation of spellings eg: Mcloughlin, McLaughlin, Mcloughlan & Mclaughlan all find members of the same family - Note: no wild cards are allowed in searching. - So try hard to think of all the spelling variations you can.
